  3 Night tour program

Day 1:

Enjoy an afternoon game drive
en-route from Durban in Hluhluwe/Imfolozi game reserve. The 3 hour drive departs from Memorial gate at 14:00.


Day 2:
Explore the Isimangaliso Wetland Park. Visit Snake and Crocodile Park, or enjoy leisurely 2 hour boat cruise on the lake. Return to Bayala Game Lodge for an afternoon at leisure, sunbathing next to the pool.

Sunbathing enthusiast can opt for a day on Sodwana beach....unspoilt white sandy beaches with crystal clear water. This is not your typical beach.

Day 3:
An easy morning hike on the property will ensure close-up encounters with wildlife, while savouring mother nature at her best.
In the afternoon the property can then be explored on quad bike: fun and adventure in one!

Attractions in the area

1. The Isimangaliso Park (Greater St Lucia Wetland Park)
The park stretches for more than 220 km from the Mozambique border to St Lucia and encompasses five major ecological zones. The park was the first site in South Africa to be inscribed on the World Heritage List by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). The abundance of wildlife, and the sheer beauty of the place draw tourists to the area in increasing numbers. Sodwana Bay is renowned for scuba diving and snorkelling, while Cape Vidal has long been a fisherman's paradise.


2. Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve
Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve is the oldest proclaimed park in Africa. It consists of 960 km² of hilly topography and is known for its rich wildlife and conservation efforts, because of which it now has the largest population of white rhino in the world. The park is the only state-run park in KwaZulu-Natal where all the Big Five Game occurs.

3. Mkuze Game Reserve
Mkuze is renowned as a mecca for bird lovers with more than 420 bird species on record. Three game viewing hides have been constructed next to the Kubube, Kamasinga, Kwamalibala pans. Visitors park their cars and enter the hides on foot. Two beautiful pans, Nhlonhlela and Nsumo, lie in the north and east respectively, home to communities of hippo, crocodile and an abundance of water birds.

4. Zulu Culture
The area is the ancestral land of the Zulu nation. It's best known by King Shaka who during his reign conquered and pacified a territory larger than Europe. Nearby traditional Zulu villages provide an authentic showcase of the Zulu culture, steeped in tribal folklore and ancestral traditions.
